As summer draws to a close, the days get shorter and the temperatures are so high summer vegetables reach the end of its cycle and its production begins to decline. And it is the turn to other vegetables such as cabbage, peas, lettuce, leeks, turnips and winter lettuce among others. Should not wait too long for summer crops are passed over because then we can not take advantage of that space for autumn-winter crops. It is desirable to discharge the earth (remember that cave are not paid but the land plants, providing nutrients at least you caught up with the latest crop) at least superficially.
In my case, summer crops going to leave tomatoes, eggplants and squash a bit more time and go while preparing seed of new crops that currently go into the space left by the onions, cucumbers and corn has gone to pot.
Today in particular I have made a few seedlings:
- Col trinxat
- Grelos
- Broccoli Romanesco
.
a couple of days ago I also made spinach seed giants and broccoli, the latter have already begun to sprout
I planted directly in soil radishes and arugula that have already germinated and canons that I padded with a little straw to keep moisture and heat preservation because are quite demanding in this regard and require cool temperatures (in summer I tried to no avail).
